Finesse Academie of Fence, Inc.
Started: Established in 1995 and based in Aranda, Canberra.
Classes held weekday evenings and Saturday mornings. All classes maintain a 1 to 4 ratio of coaches and pupils. One on one classes by appointment.

Finesse is one of Australia’s largest modern fencing clubs and is one of very few to study both modern and historical fencing. Finesse uses only National Coaching Accreditation Scheme (NCAS) accredited coaches and supervised enrolled trainees. We aim to increase general as well as fencing specific strength and fitness. Our historical curriculum includes rapier, smallsword and longsword, all taught from selected primary sources (1550+) by masters of sound and proven traditions of “fence”.
In 2005 Finesse hosted the Federation’s annual conference, inviting Milo Thurston from Linacre School of Defence, England and Tom Leonie from Order of the Seven Hearts, USA.
